Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and is co-accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

 

SLE of the WEEK, Nov. 16 - 20:  To Be a Person of Faith & Compassion, Grounded in Catholic Teachings!

 

Tuesday – Mrs. Long leads the 4th Joyful Mystery, the Presentation. All books, fees, and fundraising for the 1st trimester are due. All families must be in compliance in order to receive report cards and participate in conferences. This is also the day teachers take final attendance and close out the 1st Trimester. Parents have access to financials in Gradelink; student grades are closed for Report Cards.

 

Wednesday – Miss Ramirez leads us in the 5th Joyful Mystery, the Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple. Parish staff meeting in the Parish hall at 10:00 this morning. CCD Zoom this afternoon. 

 

Thursday – Miss Jenna leads the 1st Luminous Mystery of the Rosary, the Baptism in the Jordan. Conferences begin, noon dismissal. Jr. High reopening Zoom for Math and Science at 2pm.

 

Friday – Student Council hosts Assembly by the STEM building this morning. Student of the Week awarded. Conferences continue; noon dismissal… Enjoy your Thanksgiving vacation!!  Teachers, Parents, Families & Students, I am thankful for YOU!! School resumes Nov. 30th.

 

Sunday, November 29th – Bishop Rojas celebrates 10am and noon Mass at OLA today. First Sunday of Advent!

 

Monday, November 30h – Mrs. Houghton leads Rosary with the 2nd Luminous Mystery, the Wedding Feast at Cana.  SLE of the Week is to be “A Responsible Citizen.”  December calendar and Newsletter, and Mustang tickets go home.

 

Upcoming Events: 1) Dec. Mass schedule (all Masses 5pm in the Parish garden): Tuesday, 12/1 grades K-2; Dec. 2, grades 3 & 4; Dec. 3 = 4th & 5th; Friday is Student Council; Tuesday, Dec. 8th, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, grades 7 & 8. 2) Christmas Vacation = Dec. 21-Jan. 4; back to school Jan. 5th, 2021.
