   OLA Mask Policy Update

In accordance with the Q & A posted June 15, 2021, by the  CA Dept. of Public Health,  https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/Face-Coverings-QA.aspx, OLA Summer Programs will adhere to the following:

"In general, unvaccinated children and youth do not need to wear a mask outdoors, even if they cannot maintain physical distancing. However, per CDC recommendations, in areas of substantial to high transmission, people who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask in crowded outdoor settings or during activities that involve sustained close contact (including high-risk contact sports) with other people who are not fully vaccinated."

Our Summer Programs; i.e. STEM Camps and Summer School, do not qualify as "crowded outdoor settings" nor do we allow "high-risk contact sports," so the kids will not be required to mask up at recess unless parents specifically request. Should regulations change, we will modify this policy accordingly. Please call the office if you have any questions.
